New publication at IJCB 2025
We are thrilled to congratulate our team member, Nicolás Cubero, for his outstanding participation at the IEEE International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2025) in Osaka, Japan! Nicolás presented his paper, «Leveraging Implicit 3D Geometry for Biometric and Anthropometric Estimation from Gait» and we are incredibly proud to announce that he received the Best Poster Award in his session.

His research shows how 3D geometric knowledge can be transferred into gait analysis to predict attributes like height, weight, BMI, and body circumferences using only 2D silhouettes. By incorporating this volumetric information during training, his method enhances the model with 3D-informed supervision while keeping it lightweight and efficient. This geometry-aware approach achieves significant improvements over previous methods, highlighting its value for future biometric and health-related applications.

In addition to his successful presentation, Nicolás also took part in the Doctoral Consortium. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement!
